About
I am a professor of philosophy at Queen’s where I currently hold the Ontario Research Chair in Bioethics. I edit two international bioethics journals, have published over a hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals and books, and have worked at universities in Germany, Australia, South Africa, the UK, and now Canada. My main research focus today is on ethical and policy issues in the context of public and international health. My most recent books are two co-edited volumes, 'The Bioethics Reader'and '50 Voices of Disbelief - Why We Are Atheists'. I have also begun work on a volume co-authored with Christopher Lowry (Chinese University of Hong Kong) on 'Global Health Ethics' as well as on a book tentatively titled '50 Myths About Atheism' co-authored with Russell Blackford (and under contract with Wiley-Blackwell).
